It has been over five months since Cardiff man Shane Barnett went missing, and police have now launched a re-appeal for anyone with information.

Shane, who is described as 6ft 5ins tall, was spotted leaving the University Hospital of Wales in the Heath area on Sunday, 7th May.

South Wales Police have said that "extensive enquiries" have been carried out to locate the 48-year-old, however there have been no confirmed sightings since he was last seen on Allensbank Road, close to the hospital, at around 12.30pm that day.

Shane's mum, Diane Bush, said:

"If anyone knows where he is, please let us know. If Shane sees this message, can he do the same; just let us know he is ok. If he doesn't want to come home that's fine, just let us know he's ok."

Mr Barnett is known to live a transient lifestyle and could possibly be living in a tent, the force have said.

He is known to have links to Swansea, and has also previously lived in the Roath area of Cardiff.

Shane, who has a slim build with short, light grey hair, was last seen wearing a grey North Face t-shirt, black jacket, green cargo trousers, black trainers, and a black rucksack.

Anyone who may have seen him, or has any other information which will help, is being asked to contact South Wales Police quoting occurrence number 2300147308.
